In one of my college courses, I was watching one of our videos for the week. The instructor on the video gave a sort of challenge, I guess you would say. Although it was not a topic, it got me thinking. And, it made me very interested. I was definitely stumped for awhile and even contacted the preacher from our school’s ministry to ask for some help on how to do this.
Okay, here it is:
If you were talking to someone about God, and you wanted to share your testimony, but they didn’t understand “church words” (such as saved, repent, came into my heart, etc.) how would you give your testimony?
The reason I think that this is such a good exercise is that although this hasn’t happened to me yet, what’s to say it won’t? Even if I have children, I want to give them a clear view on who God is and why it’s important to be saved. Other examples are meeting someone who knows only a little English, or someone who has a different religious background.
So, if anyone would want to give this a try, and let me know what they came up with, I would love to hear it. I won’t post them, unless you tell me that it’s ok, so don’t worry.
